Iron Tigers update

It has been a big few weeks across the club, and with 30 teams now competing across four competitions, there is plenty happening on and off the court.

From U9s right through to Senior Men, Iron Tigers is active across the Coast and continuing to build

On Court

We now have 30 teams competing across Terrigal, PCYC, Niagara Park and Lake Haven.

Terrigal is ramping up toward finals, while the other competitions are just getting started and teams are still settling into combinations and roles.

A few special mentions:

  • 15 Orange (Terrigal) – unbeaten in 2026

  • 15 Black (Terrigal) – top of the table

  • 11 Blue (PCYC) – unbeaten start and top of the table

  • 18 Black (Niagara Park) – top of the table

  • 16 LHRC (Lake Haven) – top of the table in a 12-team competition

Great signs across the board, but as always the focus remains on development and improvement.

10s Teams – Bateau Bay Spots Available

We are currently looking for four players born 2015–2017 to join our Under 10s teams at Bateau Bay (PCYC).

Games are played on Fridays.

If you are already playing in another competition, this is a great opportunity to get a second game each week.

Cost is just the $25 annual PCYC membership, as competition fees are already covered within our program structure.

If you know a family looking for a team, send them our way.

Our Winter Terrigal teams are nearly full.

Limited spots remain in:

  • 20 Boys

Grading – 12 April

Grading is scheduled for 12 April.

The following age groups will be graded:

  • 8 Boys

  • 14 Boys

  • 16 Boys

More details will be sent directly to families in those groups closer to the date.

Uniform Deadline – 10 March

Uniform orders for winter close on 10 March.
Orders placed after this date are not guaranteed to arrive for Round 1.

Please ensure you have ordered both singlet and shorts before the deadline.

Unleashed Tour Recap

Our recent tours have been outstanding experiences for the athletes.

  • 16 and 18 Boys competed at Coffs Harbour

  • 16 Girls travelled to Maitland

The growth across the weekend, both on court and off, was clear to see.

Schools Program

We are currently running an after-school program at Lakes Grammar, and the response has been excellent.

Sporting Schools Grants are now open for Term 2.

Coaching Traineeship

Our coaching traineeship program is already delivering results.
We now have five developing coaches on the sideline learning, observing and building confidence under supervision.

This is part of our long-term commitment to building coaching depth and quality within the club.
