Iron Tigers Weekly Update

A huge week ahead for the Iron Tigers family as we head to our first Unleashed Tour, build momentum toward the North vs South Gala Day, and continue expanding our Academy and competition pathways.

Iron Tigers Unleashed Tour – Seaside Classic

Our first official Iron Tigers Unleashed Tour heads to Port Macquarie this weekend for the Seaside Classic.

Three teams will proudly represent the club as we take our brand of basketball on the road for the first time.

Each player is being provided with a complimentary tour shirt to commemorate the event, plus a personal first aid kit from Survival and some mouth hygiene products from Seabreeze Dental. Supporting our team on tour will be a sports Physiotherapist from Coast Sport

Good luck to all players and coaches travelling! It’s going to be an unforgettable weekend of competition and team bonding.

Important Information for Waves Representative Players

With Central Coast Waves Basketball Association representative trials now complete and team announcements expected soon, we want to make sure all Iron Tigers families understand what comes next for players who are selected.

As part of the Waves representative program, all rep players are required to participate in the Waves Domestic Competition and must do so in their own age group.

We understand this may create some logistical challenges for Iron Tigers players who are currently part of other local competitions. To help with this transition, Iron Tigers will be entering teams in the new competition at Niagara Park (Term 1 + Term 2) so our rep players can continue playing under the Iron Tigers banner while meeting their Waves domestic requirements.

Please note: under Waves’ rules, a maximum of three (3) representative players per team is permitted.

For those currently playing in PCYC or Lakehaven, your existing competitions will have finished by the time the next Niagara Park competition begins, meaning we’ll likely be able to slot you straight into a new team for the season.

For players in Terrigal, your current competition will still be mid-season when Niagara Park commences. We’ll work with each family individually to manage this transition and minimise disruption to your current team commitments.

We’ll be in touch again once representative team announcements are made and will start confirming placements for the new competition shortly after.

Can’t Make Your Usual Training Session?

Did you know that all Iron Tigers players can attend any age-appropriate session at ANY location, free of charge, if you can’t make your regular team training.

So if you can’t make your usual Wednesday 11-13s training session at CCGS, it’s no problem to go along to the Thursday U12s session at PCYC. Can’t make your sunday morning session in Lake haven? Head down to CCGS on Thursday night to join the 15-17 teams train.

Keep improving, keep working on your game and make some new friends along the way!
