Term 3 – Week 2 Wrap-Up

Week 2 of the second half of the season delivered solid results, new energy at training, and exciting steps forward across the club. With photo day just around the corner, rep trials on the horizon, and our first-ever tour filling fast, there’s a lot happening on and off the court.
Here’s everything you need to know this week.

On the Court – Week 2 Results

Week 2 brought a strong mix of results across all venues, with several teams putting in dominant performances.
Big wins came from 10F White, 16 White, 16F Black, and 12 Black PCYC, while 14 White, 14 Black, 18 White, and 10 Black all edged out tight contests with great teamwork and composure.

It was also great to see 12F Orange pick up a well-earned result after a close game, continuing their strong start to the term.

While 18 Black did not get a game this week due to a forfeit, the group used the time to reset and prepare for the weeks ahead.

Some of our newer PCYC teams are still settling in, but signs of improvement are already showing. The effort is there, the intent is there, and we are excited to see what Week 3 brings.

Across the club, we finished the round with 9 wins and 9 losses from 18 games played. A balanced result and a strong foundation to keep building on.

Celebrating 6 Months of Iron Tigers

This week marks six months since we officially launched Iron Tigers Basketball Club. What started as an idea to simplify and strengthen grassroots basketball on the Central Coast has quickly grown into a vibrant and committed club community.

In just half a year, we have grown to:

  • 20 teams across three competitions (Terrigal, Lakehaven and Bateau Bay)
  • Over 160 players wearing the Iron Tigers uniform
  • 27 paid staff working across coaching, administration and operations
  • 18 volunteers supporting teams as managers, scorers and behind the scenes
  • 3 competitions – Breakers, Lakehaven and PCYC Bateau Bay
  • 5 training venues – CC Hoops, CCGS, Niagara Park, Lakehaven and PCYC

And we’re only just getting started!

Thank you to every player, parent, staff member and volunteer who has helped make Iron Tigers what it is today.
