Iron Tigers Coaching Pathway Traineeship

What is the Traineeship?

The Iron Tigers Coaching Pathway Traineeship is a 10-week development program for people who want to learn how to become a basketball coach. Trainees work alongside our experienced coaching staff at both training and games, building real on-court skills in a supportive environment.

This program is designed to prepare future Iron Tigers coaches by giving them hands-on experience, weekly mentoring, and the chance to complete their accreditation through Basketball Australia. Trainees learn how to lead warm-ups, run drills, manage timeouts, communicate with players, and develop their own coaching voice.

The pathway is the first step toward paid coaching roles within the club and provides beneficial experience to those looking to coach elsewhere within the Basketball Community.

If you’re interested in developing leadership skills, learning how to teach the game, and becoming part of the Iron Tigers coaching team, submit your application below.
