Iron Tigers Basketball has established a new Community Hub at PCYC Bateau Bay, creating a permanent base for club administration, customer service and community support on the Central Coast.

The Hub will serve as the club’s head office and provide a central point for players, parents, coaches and staff to connect with Iron Tigers in person.

Located inside PCYC Bateau Bay, the new space includes a customer service window, staff workspace, meeting space and storage for uniforms and club equipment.

Iron Tigers Basketball Club Director Matt Shorrock said the Hub represented an important step in the club’s continued growth.

“Until now, a lot of our administration and customer service has happened remotely or around training sessions and game nights,” Shorrock said.

“The Community Hub gives us a proper home base. Families will be able to collect uniforms, ask questions and get support in person, while our staff have somewhere to meet, plan and manage the work that happens behind the scenes.”

The Hub will support Iron Tigers teams and programs across Bateau Bay, Terrigal, Niagara Park, Lake Haven and Woy Woy, giving the club a central administrative base while maintaining its presence across multiple communities.

It will also provide a location for uniform distribution, coach and staff meetings, club administration and general customer enquiries.

PCYC Bateau Bay Club Manager Stacey Chant said the Hub reflected the value of strong local partnerships.

“PCYC Bateau Bay is proud to be the home of the Iron Tigers Community Hub. We believe strong community partnerships create stronger communities, and we’re excited to work alongside Iron Tigers to provide opportunities for connection, inclusion and positive outcomes for local residents,” Chant said.

Shorrock said the support of PCYC Bateau Bay had been important in establishing the new base.

“PCYC has been very supportive of what we’re trying to build. Having our base inside a community facility where many of our players and families are already spending time makes a lot of sense,” he said.

Iron Tigers will progressively direct uniform collections to the Community Hub wherever possible, while families will also be able to attend in person for assistance with registrations, programs and general club enquiries.

Staff attendance will vary throughout the week, with the Hub operating within PCYC Bateau Bay opening hours.

The Iron Tigers Community Hub is located at PCYC Bateau Bay, 460 The Entrance Road, Bateau Bay.
