Week 2 of the season brought more energy, more firsts, and some unforgettable moments across the club.

Our U10F White girls hit the court for their first ever game on Wednesday, playing with real grit, heart, and determination. It was a proud moment for everyone watching. On Friday afternoon, the U10 boys made their official debut, led by Coach Will in his first ever head coaching role. In a fun twist, the referee challenged the boys to make five passes before shooting — and they rose to the challenge beautifully, showing fantastic teamwork.

U12 Black and Orange had the bye this week, but all other teams were in action for the second round of grading. Every team showed clear signs of growth, development, and teamwork. Communication is improving, passes are sharper, and confidence is building — exactly the kind of foundation we’re aiming for in these early weeks.

Spotlight: Coach Anthony Broussard
This week’s “Big Week” award goes to Coach Anthony Broussard, who somehow packed an entire season’s worth of coaching into a few days.

He coached U18 White on Monday (mic’d up for a viral courtside reel created by our junior content creator, Jamison!), ran U10 training Tuesday, coached the U10 girls in their first game Wednesday, led U18s training Thursday, and still found time to support his daughters Cali and Eboni through their games, training, and Rebels commitments. What a week!

Conduct & Culture: How We Handle On-Court Incidents
We take sportsmanship seriously. If a player or coach receives a technical or unsportsmanlike foul, it is reviewed by our Iron Tigers Disciplinary Committee — led by Matt and another team coach. This applies equally to players and coaches, and it’s about upholding our values: respect, effort, and a love of the game.
