Iron Tigers Basketball Club – Week 7 Wrap-Up
Round 3 is done and dusted, and it’s incredible to see how much progress teams are making week to week. The courts were a little quieter on Monday with the public holiday, but the rest of the week delivered plenty of effort, excitement, and energy. Read on for game results, important updates, and a sneak peek at something big coming soon…
🏀 On the Court This Week
With no Monday games for our U18s and U16s due to the public holiday, it was a slightly quieter week but there was still plenty of action across the club. Our Lakehaven U16s went down in a hard-fought 27–35 nailbiter, while 14 Black secured a solid 35–21 win. 14 White battled on with just four players for much of their game, falling short 19–31, and 14 Orange celebrated a gritty 18–16 victory…a debut win for Coach Lachie (undefeated so far!). In the 12s, Black went down 11–17 in a very physical clash, with both 12F White and 12F Orange also going down in low-scoring matchups. The 10s brought the energy…10 Black snatched a thrilling 16–14 win at the buzzer, and 10F White backed it up with a 12–6 victory.

🗣 From the Director
I had the chance to coach our new Lakehaven 16s team this week and it was a great reminder of just how energising fresh starts can be. The enthusiasm, effort, and team spirit were all there, and it’s clear we’re building something special up on that end of the Coast.
That same momentum is carrying across the club. With holiday camps around the corner, brand new PCYC teams launching, and something exciting brewing for Term 4 (hint: North vs South 👀), this is a season of serious growth…not just in numbers, but in confidence and connection too.
