The Iron Tigers training and coaching program has been so phenomenal for our young girls. Bridging the gap between casual domestic games and the full representative experience, Iron Tigers offers players and families a great middle ground for those that want to extend their basketball experience on the Coast. Matt and his team of coaches are passionate, caring and experienced. The training sessions are great and joining the club has also been a great way for our daughters to find players with similar skills and interests, creating new friendships beyond school. 5 🌟

We have 3 kids in the Iron Tigers program and all of them are absolutely thriving and loving it. It is so nice to have dedicated coaches and structured team training in domestic basketball on the coast. Seeing the kids enjoy their basketball and improve each week is what it is all about. Matt and his team of coaches are fantastic, we are so glad to be a part of the club and would highly recommend to other families looking to get involved in basketball.

We are having a fantastic experience with Iron Tigers. One of the things I appreciated most was how they placed my son in a team with like-minded kids who were at a similar skill level. The club takes care of everything—from registration to uniforms—which makes the whole process super smooth and stress-free for us as parents. The training provided by Iron Tigers is very impressive. My sons enjoy the sessions and are learning lots from their coaches. Highly recommend!!

My 9 year old son joined Iron Tigers Academy and then joined a team for the winter comp. My son really struggled with regulating himself during the games and ran off crying on multiple occasions during the first few games but with the support of coaches Will and Matt he was encouraged, included and never made to feel badly about himself. Iron tigers has really helped him to find his confidence and feel part of something enjoyable- can’t recommend these guys enough! As a volunteer manager for the team, I have enjoyed working with both Matt and Coach Will to ensure each week runs smoothly. It’s not something I have done before but I’ve enjoyed learning and growing in the role.

Iron Tigers basketball has been one of the best decisions for our family. My homeschooled 12 & 13yr olds are thriving every week. Watching their skills improve and the social involvement that the club support, have been paramount to our little family. My daughter is on the spectrum and has made real progress with the support and inclusiveness that coach Matt and his team provide. It has also helped with my son’s anxiety and I love seeing how encouraging all the kids are with each other.

My son is thriving under the structure and coaching of Matt and his team. Iron Tigers has re-ignited his passion for basketball and is pushing him to improve in areas that have been overlooked in the past. Iron Tigers has a welcoming, strong and supportive culture, friendships have been developed and we are proud to be part of the Iron Tigers Club. Go Tigers...

Excellent basketball coaching for kids and teens. My son loves it here. 5 stars

The iron tigers program has been amazing for both my children. Both of my kids suffer from anxiety and have never played basketball before and really struggled to find the confidence to even step onto the court let alone play in a team. The coaching and support offered from the iron tigers team has been outstanding and now both the kids actually look forward to both games and training which I honestly thought might have been impossible. They don't just teach basketball skills but are teaching self confidence and belief along with team spirit. The team at iron tigers are also very well organised and communication is excellent. If I could give them a review of 10 stars I would but 5 is the maximum. We will definitely continue with iron tigers.

Such a fantastic basketball club! Matt, the director, brings incredible energy and genuine passion to everything he does. He’s not just focused on building strong players— ….his real mission is developing confident, respectful, and resilient kids both on and off the court. You can tell he truly cares about each child’s individual journey and creates an environment where they feel supported, challenged, and inspired. A great community with strong values…highly recommend for any family looking for more than just sport!

Five stars to Matt and his Team of Administrators and Coaches at Iron Tigers Basketball. As far as I am aware, they are the first proper domestic Basketball Club on the Coast and what a pleasure they have been to deal with from Day 1. My child is only a year or so into basketball as a sport, plus we are new to the area and found it quite challenging to get started. Kids and parents had to try and scramble to get a team together (who knows 5 kids who want to play bball, are the same age and are avail to play on same night??) deal with the stadium re the season details and registration, order your own uniforms, learn the rules and generally organise and communicate everything. Matt has setup up Iron Tigers in an exceptionally professional way. He is clearly passionate about growing the sport locally, teaching kids about what it means to be part of a team and has the business acumen and organisational skills to make it happen like a pro. Being part of the club this season has brought coaching, team spirit, learning, community and encouragement together and we couldn’t be happier to be a part of it.

Iron tigers is an amazing club. So many options for training and development. My son loves it!
