FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mingara Recreation Club Partners with Iron Tigers Basketball Club to Support Youth Development on the Central Coast
Central Coast, NSW — Iron Tigers Basketball Club is proud to announce a new partnership with Mingara Recreation Club, who have come on board as a major supporter of the club’s Community Wellbeing & Youth Development Initiative.
This partnership marks an important milestone in the rapid growth of Iron Tigers, a Central Coast-based basketball club that has quickly established itself as a structured, development-focused alternative within the local sporting landscape.
Since its establishment, Iron Tigers Basketball Club has expanded to support over 250 players across 30 teams in 4 competitions, delivering consistent training standards, qualified coaching, and a clear development pathway for young athletes. The club’s model focuses not just on participation, but on building confident, coachable and resilient players through a professional and organised environment.
This approach extends beyond the court, with a strong emphasis on character development, teamwork, and community connection — values that align closely with Mingara Recreation Club’s commitment to supporting local initiatives that have a positive and lasting impact.
As part of the partnership, Mingara will play a visible role in key Iron Tigers events, including the club’s annual Presentation Night and Team Photo Day, both hosted at Mingara Recreation Club. In addition, Mingara’s support will be recognised across all team and individual photo assets, further embedding their presence within the Iron Tigers community.
Iron Tigers Director and Head Coach Matt Shorrock said the partnership reflects the club’s continued progression and the strength of its offering.
“This partnership is a reflection of the work that’s gone into building Iron Tigers the right way. We’ve focused on creating a structured, high-quality environment for players and families, and it’s great to have Mingara recognise and support that.
Their involvement allows us to continue investing in our players, our coaches, and the overall experience we provide to the community.”
Mingara Recreation Club’s support will directly contribute to the continued delivery and expansion of programs designed to improve physical health, confidence, and social connection among young athletes on the Central Coast.
As Iron Tigers Basketball Club continues to grow, the partnership signals a shared commitment to developing not just better players, but better people.
